How to install the Windows Media Audio Voice Codec Desktop Experience component ?

To install the Windows Media Audio Voice Codec Desktop Experience component by using the Windows command line

 

  1. Click Start, Run, type cmd and then click OK.
  2. At the system command prompt, run the following command:

ServerManagerCmd -install Desktop-Experience

 

3.Type Exit to close the Windows command prompt.

4. The server must be restarted for the changes to take effect.

 

To install the Windows Media Audio Voice Codec Desktop Experience component by using the Windows Server  2008 Server Manager

  1. Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click Server Manager.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Features, and then right click and select Add Features.
  3. On the Select Features pane, select the check box for Desktop Experience.
  4. Click Next from the Select Features pane, and then click Install at the Confirm Installations Selections pane.
  5. Click Close to leave the Add Features wizard.
  6. The server must be restarted for the changes to take effect.
